Residual Material Collection
BranchesIn 2025, the three branch collections in Notre-Dame-de-l’Île-Perrot will take place in May, June and November: May 26, June 16 and November 3.
This service is offered free of charge (on properties excluding vacant lots) if the volume of branches does not exceed a height of 1.5 m (5 ft.) and a width of 3 m (10 ft.). For the safety of employees, branches must have a minimum length of 4 ft (no maximum). Branches must not exceed 10 cm (4 in.) in diameter. No logs are accepted.
These collections usually last 5 to 7 days.
Please note : Additional collections will be added in the event of high winds, which may result in the breakage of many branches.
Branches must be deposited at the curb at least one week before collection day. They must be placed in an orderly fashion, with the trunk facing forward near the road, without encroaching on the street.
If the volume of branches exceeds the maximum volume specified, the City will charge a fee for collection. In this case, you must call the Land Management Department to request a cost estimate one week before the start of collection. Once the costs have been paid to the Town, the branches will be collected as part of the normal collection schedule.
NOTE : Volumes of branches greater than the maximum will be collected only if the fee has been paid. Remember that you must obtain a municipal permit before you cut down a tree. The branches are collected and turned into mulch, which the Municipality makes available to residents. For more information, contact our Guichet unique or Public Works at 514-453-4128.
