Residual Material Collection

Branches

From April to November, branches are collected monthly throughout the Notre-Dame-de-l’Île-Perrot. The Municipality provides this service free of charge (on properties excluding vacant lots) if the volume of branches is under 4 ft. × 4 ft. × 8 ft. and the diameter of the branches is no greater than 4 in. Collection begins on the second Monday of each month and usually runs for five to seven days.

Unlike in past years, you must not call Land Management to make arrangements. All branches, up to the maximum volume, placed at the curb will be collected. As in the past, branches must be placed at the curb by 7 a.m. on the first day of the collection. They must be arranged neatly, with the trunks toward the roadway, but not encroaching on the roadway.

If the volume of branches exceeds the stated maximum, the Municipality will charge a fee. In this case, you must call Land Management one week before the start of the collection, to get an estimate. Once the fee has been paid, the branches will be collected as part of the regular collection.

NOTE : Volumes of branches greater than the maximum will be collected only if the fee has been paid. Remember that you must obtain a municipal permit before you cut down a tree. The branches are collected and turned into mulch, which the Municipality makes available to residents. For more information, contact our Guichet unique or Public Works at 514-453-4128.
