A word from the mayor

Dear residents,

The City recently launched the brand new City of Notre-Dame website. Several hundred of you have already tested it, and I hope that, like me, you found it attractive, modern, efficient, and easy to use. For those who haven't yet, I invite you to take a few minutes to discover the new features by watching the online tutorial. This new platform also hosts the Citizen Portal, where you can create an account to obtain your NDIP Access Card. In 2026, it will also provide access to a citizen portal that will facilitate your interactions with the City (alert services, tax account consultation, etc.). The content of the site is not entirely bilingual due to provincial regulatory requirements. If you have any questions or need clarification, I invite English-speaking residents to contact council members or City employees through the Guichet unique or our social media channels.

It was recently announced that the level of Lake Saint-Louis will be raised starting October 18 to allow boats to be removed in preparation for winter. And good news: following a constructive discussion with the team and the mayor of Pincourt, our neighbors' boat ramp will be open to NDIP residents free of charge this fall. Thank you to our neighbors for this other wonderful collaborative agreement that benefits all of our citizens.

I am also proud to note that the Marie-Uguay Library has earned a Level 4 (out of 5) rating in its evaluation by the BiblioQUALITÉ program. Since Noémie Philibert-Brunet took over as manager, the library's programming has become truly impressive. We are a long way from the boring libraries of our childhood where we had to remain silent. The library is now a lively place, with exhibitions, concerts, homework help, and computer assistance services. Congratulations to the entire team! Come visit our beautiful library. You're sure to love it!

In closing, on behalf of the council as it ends another term, I would like to thank all those who have crossed our paths over the past few years. It has been a real pleasure to work with the leaders of our organizations, volunteers, and members of our business community. A special thank you also goes to all City employees who put their hearts into making Notre-Dame an extraordinary place to live every day. Thank you to the residents of Notre-Dame for your ideas, suggestions, and contributions to municipal life. It is a privilege for us to serve our community.
