Municipal council

As the City’s legislative body, the municipal council is responsible for making decisions on local matters. Its main functions are divided into several areas: adopting municipal bylaws, approving budgets and municipal finances, planning and setting directions for urban development, and overseeing community services.

The municipal council of the City of Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot is currently composed of 7 members: 1 mayoress elected by universal suffrage and 6 councillors representing an equal number of electoral districts. Elections will be held on November 2, 2025, to elect the members of the next municipal council.
