The City wishes to inform you that inspection work on cross-connections will take place throughout the territory during the month of November, carried out by the firm SIMO.
The operations involve releasing white smoke into the sewer systems to detect residences where sanitary connections are mistakenly linked to the City’s stormwater network.
The smoke used is non-toxic. However, individuals with respiratory issues may experience discomfort if exposed to the smoke.
Each test lasts approximately 30 minutes.
Notices are distributed by the contractor in the affected areas. Residences not directly targeted may still observe smoke coming from neighboring homes.
