SAFETY REGULATION FOR FREE SKATING ACTIVITIES
For organized hockey games, the wearing of a
helmet, mask, and neck guard are obligatory. For free skating
or shinny hockey, the wearing of a helmet and other associated
equipment are strongly recommended.
We also request that teenagers respect this public facility and the parents must inform their teenagers regarding this matter. Vandalism is often done on public facilities. Lets all work together to put a stop to this!
It is sad to see that many pet owners do not pick up their animals droppings particularly in parks and platforms. We are asking for your cooperation. Let me remind you that laws are in place and fines will be given to those who do not respect the law. We all have the duty to respect the quality of life of others.
Regarding the playgrounds for the children. Please ensure that you keep a close eye on your children and that roomy clothing, accessories or laces are not worn as this can be dangerous on the slides.
A FEW POINTS REGARDING PEACE AND ORDER:
- Do not disrupt, disturb, interfere in any way with the tranquility of residence on their property or people in public areas
- Do not roam in public areas without a good reason
- Do not look sloppy, lie down, sleep, reside, panhandle or loiter in public areas
- Do not draw, paint or other on public property without the prior consent of the city.
- Do not climb in trees, cut or break branches or damage walls, fences, shelters, kiosks, road signs, decorations, fountains, play areas, benchers or any other objects in public places
- In public places, do not drink or have with you alcoholic beverages or an unsealed container unless you were granted special permission by the city to hold a special event and you were granted you a permit by the Régie des Alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec (Alcohol, Racing and Gaming Control Commission of Quebec)
- Do not drink or be under the effect of drugs in a public place
We thank in advance for reporting all acts of vandalism or any other unusual activity. To ensure that the rules in parks are respected during the summer, safety patrols will be making rounds to ensure the safety of the citizens.
