AIKIBUDO / KOBUDO

Aikibudo and Kobudo are two closely linked martial arts and are not sports like certain other martial arts that hold competitions.  Aikibudo is a collection of techniques practiced with the bare hands and Kobudo is practiced with weapons.  Aikibudo is a dynamic style of Aikido and self-defence that puts the emphasis on projections, key articulations, and immobilisations.

NORDIC WALKING

The pleasure of fresh air!

This form of “new jogging” comes from the Nordic country of Finland. It puts emphasis on the natural movement of swinging the arms while walking and propels the body forward with the aid of two poles. Because of its ease and because of its cardio-training aspect, Nordic walking is of interest to the not-so-young, beginners, or those who are returning to sports.Nordic walking is a leisure sport known for its health benefits.

It effectively reinforces your global physical condition. It engages all the muscle groups in the same dynamic movement, and improves the cardio-vascular and respiration capacities. Nordic walking helps with weight loss. Don’t forget to bring along a water bottle.

The poles are provided. New workshops in February, on request.

BODY-AWAKENING MOVEMENT

The MLC® (Méthode de Libération des Cuirasses) technique, created by Marie Lise Labonté, is a physical approach to the body that uses movements that are at once both gentle and powerful, allowing the body to release its physical, emotional, and mental tensions. It completely respects the rhythm of each being towards the discovery of well-being and self-confidence.

These body-awakening movements are performed with the help of equipment such as balls, batons, and small bolsters. Progressively, après several sessions, your body will learn to unknot itself, to release its tensions. You will find pleasure in the movement, greater flexibility of the body and the spirit, better respiration, and improved concentration.
